  • Sarah Balogh

    FOUNDER/SUPERVISOR

    Sarah has first-hand experience of the pressures of gospel ministry. She grew up in a pastor's home, and later served as a ministry wife.

    With over two decades of experience as a psychologist and twelve years as a pastoral supervisor, Sarah has acquired extensive knowledge and expertise in the field. She has successfully established her own supervision business. Sarah Lectures in Pastoral Supervision at Moore College and is a Pastoral Supervision Consultant for the Centre for Ministry Development (Moore Theological College). Sarah also serves as an executive member on the AAOS (Australasian Association of Supervision) board.

    Sarah is passionate about the work of God's Kingdom and assisting those who shepherd His flock.

  • Jillian Fulcher

    FOUNDER/SUPERVISOR

    Jillian is an experienced pastoral supervisor, with over 20 years background in human resources and executive coaching.

    For the past 10 years, Jill has worked with a broad range of Christian organisations, schools and parishes to provide 1:1 and people management support. She has also worked extensively with Partners in Ministry (PIM), the Centre for Ministry Development (Moore College) and Ministry Training & Development (MT&D) to develop ministry workers’ leadership and interpersonal skills. Additionally, she has been a co-trainer for the St Mark's Theological College pastoral supervision Grad Cert program.

  • Dave McDonald

    SUPERVISOR

    Dave offers pastoral supervision across Australia and New Zealand, engaging pastors, Christian leaders, and other professionals.

    With over seven years in supervision and a longer history in coaching and mentoring, he provides both in-person and online sessions for individuals and groups. He is well-qualified, with degrees in Social Work and Theology, and formal training in supervision, coaching, and mentoring. Dave's extensive experience includes over thirty years in leadership and Christian ministry, church planting, and directing large ministry initiatives.

    Currently residing in Bonny Hills, NSW, with his wife Fiona and their family, Dave also pastors at Salt Community Church.

  • Amy Kuhn

    SUPERVISOR

    Amy grew up in a minister’s home in the United States and began working in the local church there in 2003.

    For the past 13 years she has lived in Sydney and served a range of ministries in local churches and at Moore College. She knows first-hand the joys, challenges, and sorrows of ministry. Her passion is to help those serving in ministry to make the most of the opportunities God has given to them through intentional reflection. She believes everyone needs a designated space to safely discuss their practice, feel supported and heard, and remain healthy in their work. Amy currently serves with her husband at St Matthias Centennial Park.

  • Richard Trist

    SUPERVISOR

    Richard is Chaplain to the Anglican Institute at Ridley College Melbourne and Adjunct Lecturer in Professional Pastoral Supervision.

    Previously he was a schoolteacher in NSW, and then for 20 years the pastor of various Anglican churches in Melbourne and London. Most recently he was the Senior Lecturer in Pastoral Theology at Ridley College, as well an Examining Chaplain for the Diocese of Melbourne, Member of General Synod, and Canon of St Pauls Cathedral. Richard has a DMin which researched the efficacy of clergy coaching as well as a Grad Cert in Professional Supervision. He is a member of the Australian Association of Supervision (AAOS)

  • Jennie Clarke

    SUPERVISOR

    Jennie has 30 years of experience in Ministry and is currently serving on staff at a multicultural church in West Ryde.

    She has additional education and experience in Interim and Intentional Interim ministry and has been deployed as a Disaster Recovery Chaplain to more than twenty evacuation or recovery centres, supporting individuals in crisis. Aged care chaplaincy is also a special interest as she served in the sector (Uniting & HammondCare) for over eight years and understands some of the unique challenges involved.

    Jennie’s vast experience in ministry and her love for the gospel make her a discerning and warm supervisor.

  • Howard Smartt

    SUPERVISOR

    Howard is an engaging, and experienced pastoral supervisor, passionate about empowering growth in God’s people and their ministry practice. Along with 40 years of diverse ministry experience in Australia and Canada, Howard brings unique, integrated expertise from counselling psychology, Christian leadership development, coaching, and spiritual direction. Howard is a Supervisor Trainer with AAOS and has trained new supervisors through St Mark’s Theological College.

    Providing unhurried space for deep, respectful listening, and reflective collaboration - balanced with challenge and encouragement - characterizes Howard’s approach to supervision.

    Howard’s supervision experience includes supervising supervisors, and Christian leaders with executive responsibilities.

  • Robyn Smartt

    SUPERVISOR

    Robyn is a warm and empathic pastoral supervisor known for building trust and rapport. She offers deep listening, insightful questions, and a focus on reflexive practice, informed by 40 years of ministry and clinical experience as a pastor, counsellor, and supervisor.

    Robyn is passionate about empowering supervisees to grow, be curious and strengthen their ministry practice. Her extensive background includes addressing HR challenges, crisis intervention, leader coaching, training and supervision on supervision. Robyn has served in Australia and Canada, adding cross-cultural depth to her understanding of ministry challenges.

  • Ian Coutts

    SUPERVISOR

    Ian understands well the highs and lows faced by those in ministry and in Christian education.

    Through supervision and Christian mentoring Ian seeks to walk beside brothers and sisters in Christ to support, encourage, equip and spur them on as children of God and as ambassadors of Christ.

    Ian comes from a teaching background with nearly 20 years of experience in public and Christian schools. He also has over 20 years of experience in informal and formal ministry roles where he currently serves as an elder and a vision coordinator.

    Ian is an associate member of the Australian Association of Supervision and a member of the Australian Christian Mentoring Network.

  • Akos Balogh

    COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

    Akos Balogh has a wealth of experience in ministry, communications and marketing.

    He began his career in Aerospace Engineering, but he was convicted to move into full-time paid ministry. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Divinity, and a Master of Arts (Theology).

    He has previously worked with organisations such as the Royal Australian Air Force, The Gospel Coalition Australia, AFES, and Moore College. He is married to Sarah, and is passionate about seeing the gospel grow in people’s lives, and is very excited to support the growing ministry of pastoral supervision.
